برعاية أمير منطقة الباحة الأمير الدكتور حسام بن سعود بن عبدالعزيز، تنطلق مساء الثلاثاء 5 أغسطس 2026م الموافق 22 صفر 1448هـ، فعاليات ملتقى «عرش الحرف» في دار عوضة بمحافظة القرى بمشاركة أكثر من 70 خطاطاً من المملكة وعدد من الدول العربية والإسلامية في تظاهرة ثقافية تمتد خمسة أيام، وتعد من أكبر التجمعات المتخصصة في فن الخط العربي على مستوى المنطقة.
ويأتي الملتقى امتداداً للنجاح الكبير الذي حققه ملتقى «ألوان الباحة» في نسخته الأولى العام الماضي، والذي استقطب أعداداً كبيرة من أهالي المنطقة وزوارها والمهتمين بالفنون والثقافة من مختلف مناطق المملكة، ليواصل المشروع الثقافي مسيرته هذا العام عبر الاحتفاء بفنون الخط العربي، أحد أبرز رموز الحضارة الإسلامية وأكثرها ارتباطاً بالهوية والجمال والإبداع.
ويضم الملتقى نخبة من أشهر الخطاطين في العالم الإسلامي، يتقدمهم خطاط المصحف الشريف عثمان طه، إلى جانب خطاط كسوة الكعبة المشرفة، وخطاط الحرم المكي الشريف، وكبير خطاطي مصر، إضافة إلى مشاركين من تركيا والأردن واليمن وسلطنة عمان وسورية، معظمهم من الحاصلين على جوائز دولية والمجازين في فنون الخط العربي، ما يمنح الملتقى قيمة علمية وفنية رفيعة.
ويتضمن البرنامج معرضاً لأعمال كبار الخطاطين، ومحاضرات ثقافية متخصصة، وورشاً تدريبية احترافية، وركناً لكتابة الأسماء بالخط العربي، إلى جانب فعاليات ثقافية وفنية متنوعة، تستهدف مختلف فئات المجتمع، وتسهم في نشر ثقافة الخط العربي وتعزيز حضوره بين الأجيال.
وأكد المشرف العام على ملتقى «عرش الحرف» الدكتور أحمد عوضة أن الرعاية الكريمة من أمير منطقة الباحة تمثل امتداداً لاهتمامه بدعم المبادرات الثقافية والإبداعية، وتعكس حرصه على ترسيخ مكانة الباحة بوصفها حاضنة للمشاريع الثقافية النوعية، مشيراً إلى أن هذا الدعم كان له الأثر الأكبر في استقطاب نخبة من كبار الخطاطين من داخل المملكة وخارجها.
وقال عوضة: «يأتي ملتقى عرش الحرف امتداداً للمشروع الثقافي الذي بدأناه في ملتقى (ألوان الباحة)، والذي حقق في نسخته الأولى نجاحاً لافتاً وتفاعلاً كبيراً من أهالي المنطقة وزوارها والمهتمين من مختلف مناطق المملكة، وهو ما شجعنا على تقديم نسخة أكثر تخصصاً تحتفي بفنون الخط العربي، بوصفه أحد أهم الفنون التي حفظت هوية الأمة عبر التاريخ».
وأضاف: «نفخر بأن يجتمع في الباحة أكثر من سبعين خطاطاً من أبرز الأسماء في العالم الإسلامي ومن كبار الخطاطين والحاصلين على الجوائز الدولية، وهو ما يمنح الملتقى بعداً ثقافياً عالمياً، ويؤكد قدرة المنطقة على استضافة الفعاليات المتخصصة ذات المستوى الرفيع».
وأشار إلى أن الملتقى يتزامن مع إطلاق بينالي الباحة في دار عوضة، الذي يمثل مشروعاً ثقافياً طويل المدى، يهدف إلى جعل المنطقة منصة دائمة للمعارض والملتقيات والمؤتمرات النوعية، وتعزيز حضورها على خريطة الثقافة والفنون في المملكة والعالم العربي، مؤكداً أن اختيار «عرش الحرف» ليكون أولى فعاليات البينالي يجسد هذا التوجه ويعكس المكانة التي وصلت إليها الباحة في المشهد الثقافي.
ومن المنتظر أن يشهد الملتقى حضوراً جماهيرياً وإعلامياً واسعاً، في ظل ما حققته النسخة السابقة «ألوان الباحة» من نجاح لافت، وما يضمه «عرش الحرف» من أسماء عالمية وبرنامج ثقافي ثري، ليواصل المشروع الثقافي في دار عوضة ترسيخ مكانة الباحة وجهةً للإبداع والفنون والمعرفة، ومركزاً لاستضافة الفعاليات الثقافية الكبرى في المملكة.
Under the patronage of the Prince of Al-Baha Region, Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, the “Throne of Calligraphy” forum will kick off on the evening of Tuesday, August 5, 2026, corresponding to 22 Safar 1448 AH, at Dar Awda in Al-Qura Governorate, with the participation of more than 70 calligraphers from the Kingdom and several Arab and Islamic countries in a cultural event that spans five days. It is considered one of the largest gatherings specialized in the art of Arabic calligraphy in the region.
The forum comes as a continuation of the great success achieved by the “Colors of Al-Baha” forum in its first edition last year, which attracted a large number of local residents, visitors, and those interested in arts and culture from various regions of the Kingdom. This year, the cultural project continues its journey by celebrating the arts of Arabic calligraphy, one of the most prominent symbols of Islamic civilization and closely associated with identity, beauty, and creativity.
The forum includes a selection of the most famous calligraphers in the Islamic world, led by the calligrapher of the Holy Quran, Othman Taha, along with the calligrapher of the Kaaba’s covering, the calligrapher of the Holy Mosque in Mecca, and the chief calligrapher of Egypt, in addition to participants from Turkey, Jordan, Yemen, Oman, and Syria, most of whom have received international awards and are certified in the arts of Arabic calligraphy, which gives the forum a high scientific and artistic value.
The program includes an exhibition of the works of prominent calligraphers, specialized cultural lectures, professional training workshops, a section for writing names in Arabic calligraphy, along with various cultural and artistic activities aimed at different segments of society, contributing to the dissemination of Arabic calligraphy culture and enhancing its presence among generations.
The general supervisor of the “Throne of Calligraphy” forum, Dr. Ahmed Awda, confirmed that the generous sponsorship from the Prince of Al-Baha Region represents a continuation of his interest in supporting cultural and creative initiatives, reflecting his keenness to establish Al-Baha’s position as a hub for quality cultural projects. He pointed out that this support has had the greatest impact in attracting a selection of top calligraphers from within and outside the Kingdom.
Awda stated: “The Throne of Calligraphy forum comes as an extension of the cultural project we started at the ‘Colors of Al-Baha’ forum, which achieved remarkable success in its first edition and significant interaction from the local residents, visitors, and those interested from various regions of the Kingdom. This encouraged us to present a more specialized edition that celebrates the arts of Arabic calligraphy, as it is one of the most important arts that have preserved the identity of the nation throughout history.”
He added: “We take pride in having more than seventy calligraphers from the most prominent names in the Islamic world and from top calligraphers who have received international awards gathering in Al-Baha, which gives the forum a global cultural dimension and confirms the region’s ability to host high-level specialized events.”
He noted that the forum coincides with the launch of the Al-Baha Biennale at Dar Awda, which represents a long-term cultural project aimed at making the region a permanent platform for exhibitions, forums, and specialized conferences, enhancing its presence on the cultural and artistic map of the Kingdom and the Arab world. He emphasized that choosing “Throne of Calligraphy” to be the first event of the biennale embodies this direction and reflects the status that Al-Baha has reached in the cultural scene.
The forum is expected to witness wide public and media attendance, given the remarkable success achieved by the previous edition “Colors of Al-Baha” and the global names and rich cultural program included in “Throne of Calligraphy,” allowing the cultural project at Dar Awda to further establish Al-Baha as a destination for creativity, arts, and knowledge, and a center for hosting major cultural events in the Kingdom.
