بعد نحو أربعة أعوام من التوقف الإجباري بسبب التحاق أعضائها السبعة بالخدمة العسكرية الإلزامية في كوريا الجنوبية، عادت فرقة البوب الكورية الجنوبية BTS بقوة إلى الساحة العالمية، لتتوج عودتها بحصد الجائزة الكبرى «فنان العام» في حفل جوائز الموسيقى الأمريكية (AMA) الذي أقيم في لاس فيغاس، مؤكدة أن الغياب لم ينتقص من شعبيتها أو مكانتها العالمية.
وجاء الفوز بعد أشهر قليلة من عودة الفرقة في مارس الماضي بألبومها الخامس «أريرانغ»، الذي حقق نجاحاً لافتاً وتصدر قائمة «بيلبورد 200»، فيما واصلت الفرقة تعزيز حضورها كأحد أبرز الأسماء في صناعة الموسيقى العالمية.
ثلاث جوائز تعزز الهيمنة
ولم تكتفِ BTS بجائزة «فنان العام»، بل أضافت إلى رصيدها جائزة «أغنية الصيف» عن أغنية «Swim»، إلى جانب جائزة أفضل فنان كيبوب لفئة الرجال، في ليلة أكدت استمرار هيمنة «ملوك الكيبوب» على المشهد الموسيقي العالمي.
كما نالت فرقة «كاتساي» جائزة أفضل فنان جديد، فيما حصدت أغنية «Golden» من فيلم «صيادو شياطين الكيبوب» جائزة أغنية العام، وفازت سابرينا كاربنتر بجائزة ألبوم العام عن «أفضل صديق للرجل».
تفوق على كبار النجوم
وتمكنت BTS من انتزاع جائزة «فنان العام» من قائمة ضمت نخبة من أبرز نجوم الموسيقى العالمية، بينهم تايلور سويفت، وسابرينا كاربنتر، وباد باني، وهاري ستايلز، وليدي غاغا.
وقال قائد الفرقة «آر إم» وسط هتافات الجماهير في لاس فيغاس: «لقد فعلناها مجدداً»، مضيفاً: «كما هو الحال دائماً، نتوجه بأكبر شكر وامتنان إلى جماهيرنا حول العالم التي وقفت إلى جانبنا طوال 13 عاماً».
عودة تاريخية بعد الخدمة العسكرية
وكانت الفرقة قد دخلت في فترة توقف منذ عام 2022 بعد التحاق أعضائها السبعة بالخدمة العسكرية الإلزامية، في خطوة فرضتها القوانين الكورية الجنوبية.
ومع انتهاء فترة التجنيد، عادت الفرقة إلى نشاطها الفني مطلع العام الحالي، مطلقة ألبوم «أريرانغ» الذي حقق إنجازاً تاريخياً بتصدره قائمة «بيلبورد 200» لمدة أسبوعين متتاليين، ليصبح أول عمل لفنان أو فرقة كيبوب يحقق هذا الإنجاز.
وتضم الفرقة الأعضاء جونغ كوك، وجيمين، وفي، وسوغا، وآر إم، وجين، وجيهوب، الذين نجحوا في تحويل عودتهم من مجرد استئناف للنشاط الفني إلى عودة بطعم التتويج العالمي.
After nearly four years of mandatory hiatus due to the enlistment of its seven members in mandatory military service in South Korea, the K-pop group BTS made a powerful return to the global stage, culminating in winning the prestigious “Artist of the Year” award at the American Music Awards (AMA) held in Las Vegas, confirming that their absence did not diminish their popularity or global status.
The victory came just a few months after the group’s return in March with their fifth album “Arirang,” which achieved remarkable success and topped the “Billboard 200” chart, while the group continued to strengthen its presence as one of the leading names in the global music industry.
Three Awards Reinforcing Dominance
BTS did not stop at the “Artist of the Year” award; they also added to their accolades the “Song of the Summer” award for the song “Swim,” along with the Best Male K-Pop Artist award, on a night that confirmed the continued dominance of the “Kings of K-Pop” in the global music scene.
The group “Katsai” won the Best New Artist award, while the song “Golden” from the film “K-Pop Demon Hunters” won the Song of the Year award, and Sabrina Carpenter took home the Album of the Year award for “Best Friend of the Man.”
Outshining Major Stars
BTS managed to snatch the “Artist of the Year” award from a list that included a selection of the biggest stars in global music, including Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, and Lady Gaga.
The group’s leader “RM” said amidst the cheers of the crowd in Las Vegas: “We did it again,” adding: “As always, we extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to our fans around the world who have stood by us for 13 years.”
A Historic Return After Military Service
The group had entered a hiatus in 2022 after all seven members enlisted in mandatory military service, a step imposed by South Korean laws.
With the end of the enlistment period, the group returned to their artistic activities at the beginning of this year, releasing the album “Arirang,” which achieved a historic milestone by topping the “Billboard 200” chart for two consecutive weeks, becoming the first work by a K-Pop artist or group to achieve this feat.
The group consists of members Jungkook, Jimin, V, Suga, RM, Jin, and J-Hope, who successfully transformed their return from merely resuming artistic activity into a comeback with a taste of global crowning.
