تستعد جامعة السويس لاستضافة النسخة الثالثة من مهرجان VS-FILM للأفلام القصيرة جداً، المقرر إقامتها خلال الفترة من 28 أكتوبر حتى الأول من نوفمبر 2026، بالتعاون مع محافظة السويس ومؤسسة «مقام» للثقافة والإعلام، في خطوة تستهدف تعزيز حضور الفنون وصناعة السينما داخل البيئة الجامعية.

جاء ذلك خلال استقبال رئيس جامعة السويس الدكتور أشرف حنيجل وفد إدارة المهرجان، لبحث الترتيبات الخاصة باستضافة الدورة الجديدة وآليات التعاون المشترك، بحضور رئيس المهرجان الدكتور أسامة أبو نار، ومدير المهرجان قدري الحجار، والمدير الإعلامي أحمد النجار، والمستشار القانوني ونائب مدير المهرجان محمد عبدالعزيز.

الافتتاح والختام في الجامعة

وكشف رئيس المهرجان الدكتور أسامة أبو نار أن جامعة السويس ستستضيف، بموجب بروتوكول التعاون المزمع توقيعه، حفلي افتتاح وختام الدورة الثالثة يومي 28 و31 أكتوبر، إلى جانب عدد من فعاليات المهرجان وعروض الأفلام والورش المتخصصة في صناعة الفيلم، بدءاً من الفكرة وصولاً إلى شاشة العرض.

وأكد أبو نار أن التعاون مع الجامعة يمثل بداية مرحلة جديدة في مسيرة المهرجان، ويفتح المجال أمام شراكة تجمع بين الخبرات السينمائية والتدريب الأكاديمي.

السينما تدخل الحرم الجامعي

وناقش الجانبان آليات التعاون بين جامعة السويس ومؤسسة «مقام» للثقافة والإعلام، من خلال برامج علمية وتدريبية وثقافية، تتيح لطلاب الجامعة فرصاً للتدريب واكتساب الخبرات العملية في مجالات صناعة السينما والإنتاج الإعلامي.

ويستهدف التعاون تعزيز الصلة بين الدراسة الأكاديمية والتطبيق العملي، وإشراك الطلاب في ورش وبرامج متخصصة مرتبطة بصناعة الأفلام القصيرة.

«قوة ناعمة» لبناء وعي الشباب

من جانبه، رحب رئيس جامعة السويس الدكتور أشرف حنيجل باستضافة المهرجان، مؤكداً أن الفن يمثل إحدى أهم أدوات «القوة الناعمة» في بناء الوعي وتشكيل شخصية الشباب، وتنمية الحس الثقافي والإبداعي وتعزيز قيم الانتماء والمشاركة المجتمعية.

وأشار إلى اهتمام الجامعة بالأنشطة الثقافية والفنية التي تمنح الطلاب فرصاً حقيقية للتعلم والتدريب، لافتاً إلى أن استضافة الفعاليات الكبرى تفتح أمامهم آفاقاً للتفاعل المباشر مع أصحاب الخبرات المهنية والإبداعية.

شراكة لتعزيز حضور السويس الثقافي

وأعرب وفد المهرجان عن تطلعه إلى تقديم نسخة متميزة من VS-FILM، مستفيداً من الشراكة مع جامعة ومحافظة السويس، بما يعزز الحضور الثقافي والفني للمدينة ويدعم المواهب الشابة وصناعة الأفلام القصيرة.

Suez University is preparing to host the third edition of the VS-FILM Festival for very short films, scheduled to take place from October 28 to November 1, 2026, in collaboration with the Suez Governorate and the “Maqam” Foundation for Culture and Media, in a move aimed at enhancing the presence of arts and the film industry within the university environment.

This came during the reception of the festival management delegation by the President of Suez University, Dr. Ashraf Hanigel, to discuss the arrangements for hosting the new edition and the mechanisms for joint cooperation, in the presence of the festival president, Dr. Osama Abu Nar, the festival director Qudri Al-Hijjar, the media director Ahmed Al-Najjar, and the legal advisor and deputy festival director Mohamed Abdelaziz.

The Opening and Closing at the University

Festival president Dr. Osama Abu Nar revealed that Suez University will host, under the cooperation protocol to be signed, the opening and closing ceremonies of the third edition on October 28 and 31, along with several festival activities, film screenings, and specialized workshops in film production, starting from the idea to the screen.

Abu Nar confirmed that cooperation with the university represents the beginning of a new phase in the festival’s journey and opens the door for a partnership that combines cinematic expertise with academic training.

Cinema Enters the University Campus

The two sides discussed the mechanisms of cooperation between Suez University and the “Maqam” Foundation for Culture and Media, through scientific, training, and cultural programs that provide university students with opportunities for training and gaining practical experience in the fields of cinema production and media production.

The cooperation aims to strengthen the connection between academic study and practical application, involving students in workshops and specialized programs related to short film production.

“Soft Power” to Build Youth Awareness

For his part, the President of Suez University, Dr. Ashraf Hanigel, welcomed the hosting of the festival, emphasizing that art represents one of the most important tools of “soft power” in building awareness and shaping the personality of youth, developing cultural and creative sensibilities, and enhancing values of belonging and community participation.

He pointed out the university’s interest in cultural and artistic activities that provide students with real opportunities for learning and training, noting that hosting major events opens avenues for them to interact directly with professionals and creative experts.

A Partnership to Enhance Suez’s Cultural Presence

The festival delegation expressed its eagerness to present a distinguished edition of VS-FILM, benefiting from the partnership with Suez University and the Suez Governorate, which enhances the cultural and artistic presence of the city and supports young talents and the short film industry.
