في منافسة لا تخلو من المفاجآت، كشف الفنان المصري أحمد العوضي أن فيلم (صقر وكناريا) للنجم محمد إمام حقق إيرادات أعلى من فيلمه، لكنه اختار أن يتعامل مع النتيجة بروح رياضية، فكانت أولى خطواته بعد معرفتها إرسال رسالة تهنئة إلى زميله.
العوضي تحدث عن الأمر خلال استضافته في بودكاست (قصتي) مع الإعلامي محمد قيس، مؤكدًا أنه لم يرَ في تفوق فيلم إمام على عمله سببًا للتوقف عند فكرة المنافسة، بل بادر إلى تهنئة صاحب العمل على نجاحه، في موقف عكس نظرته إلى المنافسة باعتبارها جزءًا من المشهد الفني وليست خصومة بين النجوم.
وفي المقابل، انتقل الحديث إلى الدراما التلفزيونية، حيث عبّر العوضي عن اختلاف رؤيته تجاه مؤشرات المشاهدة، مؤكدًا أنه يرى نفسه في مقدمة النجوم من هذه الناحية، ومشيرًا إلى أنه لم ينزعج من تصريحات الفنان عمرو سعد التي حملت رؤية مختلفة بشأن صدارة المشاهدة.
وتحدث العوضي كذلك عن علاقته بصناعة أعماله الدرامية، موضحًا أن أفكار عدد من مسلسلاته تأتي من اختياراته، وأنه يهتم بالتجارب التي تتيح ظهور مواهب ووجوه جديدة إلى جانب الأسماء المعروفة.
وضمن هذا السياق، أشار إلى عدد من الفنانات اللاتي شاركن في أعماله، من بينهن كارولين عزمي وسارة بركة، فيما وصف يارا السكري بأنها تمثل رهانًا مهمًا بالنسبة إليه، بعدما لفتت الأنظار من خلال مشاركتها في مسلسل (فهد البطل).
ولم يتوقف حديث العوضي عند الأعمال الفنية، إذ تحدث أيضًا عن علاقته بالجمهور، مؤكدًا أنه يعتبر نفسه من أكثر الفنانين حضورًا على مستوى المشاهدة والجماهيرية، ويرى أن قربه من الجمهور البسيط يمثل أحد أبرز عناصر علاقته بالشارع المصري.

His first step after learning this was to send a congratulatory message to his colleague.
El Awady discussed this matter during his appearance on the podcast (My Story) with media personality Mohamed Qais, confirming that he did not see Imam’s film outperforming his work as a reason to dwell on the idea of competition. Instead, he took the initiative to congratulate the creator of the successful work, reflecting his view of competition as part of the artistic scene rather than a rivalry among stars.
Conversely, the conversation shifted to television drama, where El Awady expressed his differing perspective on viewership indicators, affirming that he sees himself among the leading stars in this regard, and noting that he was not bothered by the statements of artist Amr Saad, which presented a different view on viewership leadership.
El Awady also spoke about his relationship with the production of his dramatic works, clarifying that the ideas for several of his series come from his choices, and that he is interested in experiences that allow for the emergence of new talents and faces alongside well-known names.
In this context, he mentioned several actresses who participated in his works, including Caroline Azmy and Sara Baraka, while describing Yara El Sokary as an important bet for him, after she drew attention through her participation in the series (Fahd the Hero).
El Awady’s discussion did not stop at artistic works; he also talked about his relationship with the audience, affirming that he considers himself one of the most present artists in terms of viewership and popularity, and believes that his closeness to the ordinary audience represents one of the most significant elements of his relationship with the Egyptian street.
